Don't worry about the strength of recycled PETG!

I use PETG for my business and was weary of recycled PETG from a small amount of research I found saying that 100% recycled PETG is quite weak compared to virgin PETG. Some papers noted that 30% recycled was okay but 100% performed quite poorly. So I bought two rolls to see if I could use 100% recycled in my design, perhaps bulk up critical areas in my design. .. Well I was surprised to see that GreenGate3D's 100% recycled PETG was just as strong as Hatchbox and California Filament's virgin PETG (without any design changes)! I am astonished by the strength of this stuff. I'm talking +450lbs to break a 15mm and 24mm edge in a aesthetically designed part. I'm not testing bricks. I will contact the site coordinators to see if I can post a picture of my product so you can see for yourself. This filament prints better than the California Filament PETG too!! I will be switching my entire product line over to GreenGate3D recycled filament. FIVE STARS!!!

Worked Great for Face Shields, No Clogs

I used to it to print the prusa face shield headbands. Got about 22 headbands out of the roll. Color was a bit less saturated that you would expect. More like a salmon red.

I love recycled PETG

I am not sure I have ever seen a RED filament that was the color I expected it to be. Many are orange, some are more like pink. The batch I got of this was maybe a little pink but better than average for red. I originally tried to do color mixing with a diamond hotend using the blue. But because this is more opaque and the blue was transparent that did not work so well. I ended up using the red for a variety of projects and most of the roll ended up getting used for PPE for a local hospital. The red printed very well and at a much lower temp than I usually assicaite with PETG.
I would really love to see a transparent red at some point.
Keep up the good work.
Chris

A solid option for PETG

I purchased this filament after my [other brand] PETG ran out while printing COVID-19 face shield frames for a local non-profit. The GreenGate3D filament prints at a lower temperature (~235) and appears to be ever so slightly "softer" than the brand I am used to, but it prints easily and reliably! Considering the price, its a great choice for those who want to print in PETG without breaking the bank or running their printer extremely hot.
